Dica da Professora Dione P.:The Embassy of Brazil in Washington is pleased to present the 6th Brazilian Film Week, being held with the goal of publicizing recent Brazilian film productions, which have attracted great interest around the world.
The feature films selected for the Film Week are representative of this fact, as they reflect Brazil’s cultural diversity, introduce new talent, and demonstrate the new trends being experimented in both fiction and documentary films.
The exhibition of this short snippet of Brazilian film-making also seeks to provide an opportunity for the American public to learn a bit more about Brazilian realities, while promoting mutual understanding between the two nations.
Confident that this effort will contribute to further strengthening the ties that bring us together, we hope audiences will have fun with and be touched by this brief trip to Brazil through film.
